Why we exist

Speed was the gap, so we closed it

In agencies, speed was always the missing piece. So we built a team that comes off the bench like the sixth man in basketball.

When I worked in agencies, I noticed a consistent frustration: companies needed speed, but a traditional agency model can't deliver that. That gap sparked the idea for 6th Man, and everything since has been about closing that gap. Fast.

The question we keep asking

Every sprint ends the same way. We look at what went live and ask what a ten percent better version would have been. Never a rebuild, always one concrete thing.

  1. It started in Ghent in 2023, from a freelancer with a webshop on the side.

  2. By 2024, Shopify was already more than half of the work we did.

  3. In 2025 we hired our first developer and systemised the business around Shopify: Sprint 0 first, then two week sprints for every brand.

  4. Today, in 2026, more than 20 brands use us as their 6th Man, on international projects spread over 20 countries.
