On 27 October, 6th Man and Depends SEO Agency hosted E-commerce in Ghent: AI & Automation at Alix, Maison d'Amis. Not a classic networking event, but a relaxed dinner where e-commerce managers and marketers share experiences, test ideas and learn from each other.

The evening opened with three short, practical talks:

Arthur Lauwers (6th Man) on why the second purchase matters, and how to get customers to buy more than once.

Marijn Van Daele (freelance) on the role marketplaces can play in an e-commerce strategy.

Bart Haagmans (Depends SEO Agency) on how AI makes SEO processes smarter and more efficient.

There are meetups for almost everything, except for Shopify and the people doing hands-on e-commerce work. This evening was the first of a series to fill that gap.

About 6th Man

Most agencies build your Shopify store and hand the growth to someone else. We do both.

6th Man is a Shopify team in Ghent. We build custom stores, migrate them from WooCommerce, PrestaShop or Tilroy, and run the SEO and CRO on the same store. The people who build it are the people who grow it, so nothing gets dropped at a handoff.

We take on the work most studios pass on: big catalogs, hard custom development, and stores that sell across borders.

No account managers. You work with the senior people doing the work, in two-week sprints.
